Handbreadth

A handbreadth is a Biblical unit of measure equal to 3 inches or 7.6 centimeters.

A handbreadth is determined by measuring the width of the base of the hand.

The handbreadth is defined as one sixth of a cubit or one third of a span.

The word handbreadth does not appear often in the Old Testament, only being used five times.
